Cinema Halls
Design and implementation of home cinema halls
We create private cinema rooms designed as one coherent whole from the very beginning, with acoustics, image quality and interior finish considered together.
Each home cinema project starts with a conversation with the client, a room analysis and clearly defined technical assumptions. This means the system is never accidental. It is tailored to a specific space and the way it will be used.
We are responsible for the entire process: from concept, through design and implementation, to final system tuning. The result is a space that delivers high-end picture and sound while remaining fully aligned with the interior architecture.
Our scope includes home cinema acoustics design, video systems based on a 4K projector or a TV selected for the room, Dolby Atmos surround sound, custom loudspeakers designed for a specific project, room correction systems, cinema seating and interior finishing.
What does the design process look like?
We always start the home cinema design process with the room itself. We analyse its proportions, height, volume, potential acoustic challenges and seating layout. These are the factors that have the strongest impact on sound and picture quality.
At the same time, we discuss how the cinema is meant to be used: whether it should be a dedicated screening room with a separate audience area, a multipurpose entertainment room or a gaming room.
Based on this, we develop a home cinema design that combines technical, acoustic and aesthetic assumptions. From the concept stage, the interior architect works together with the team responsible for acoustics and audio-video systems so the cinema becomes a natural part of the home.
- Room acoustics: we design the cinema walls and ceilings as acoustic elements
- Sound system: speaker layout is designed in accordance with Dolby Atmos guidelines
- Video system: we define image size, brightness and device parameters
- Interior layout and design: we design seating arrangements for comfortable viewing based on the number of users
Acoustics in a home cinema room
Acoustics are the foundation of every well-designed home cinema. They determine the quality of the sound.
The room acoustics are created as part of the cinema construction itself. The acoustic walls and ceilings we produce have a specific function and directly affect how sound behaves in the space.
At the same time, we take care of aesthetics. Loudspeakers, subwoofers and cabling are hidden inside the wall and ceiling structures, and the entire room is finished in a way that remains consistent with the interior architecture.
This type of acoustic design becomes the foundation for the cinema sound system and the entire home cinema project.
Audio system and surround sound in a home cinema
We always design home cinema sound systems in relation to the specific room and Dolby Atmos standards. These define the speaker layout, the number of channels and the way the system should perform.
We create systems based on our own loudspeakers and subwoofers, designed for each individual project. This gives us full control over how the system behaves in a particular cinema room and allows us to match it precisely to the design goals.
After installation, we tune and calibrate the system in the finished room. We take the real listening conditions into account so the cinema audio performs with precision and consistency.
Image in a home cinema: selecting the projector and screen for the room
At the design stage, we define the key parameters, above all image size and brightness. We take into account room proportions, the viewing distance and technical standards used in professional cinema environments. This allows us to achieve true viewing comfort.
In most of our projects, we use a 4K projector to create a cinematic effect. In smaller rooms, such as compact media rooms or gaming rooms, a television is often the better choice.
Once installation is complete, we calibrate the image in the finished interior. We adjust the parameters so the picture is natural and faithful to the source material.
The result is a large, cinematic image that works in harmony with the acoustics and sound system to create a complete premium home cinema experience.
Home cinema implementation process: from concept to finished room
Building a private cinema room requires close cooperation between many specialists. Lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical installations and bespoke joinery all need to function as one integrated whole. We coordinate every stage of the work, making sure the design intent and execution quality remain in harmony.
We lead the process from the first discussions, through preparation of guidelines for contractors, to installation, tuning and commissioning of the system. This gives the client a refined space where technology remains fully subordinate to comfort and interior architecture.
