Frequently asked questions

The most common questions related to the construction of a private cinema room

How much does a private cinema room cost?

The cost of a private cinema room depends primarily on the expected quality, the size of the room and the materials and solutions used.

It can be assumed that:

We price each home cinema project individually, because the final cost depends on many design decisions and the effect we want to achieve.

How much space do you need for a home cinema?

The size of the room has a significant impact on the acoustics and ergonomics of the home cinema. It must be remembered that the acoustic development of walls and ceilings reduces the space, which is why the actual usable area of the finished cinema is smaller than that of the raw room.

As a guide, you can assume:

Is it better to have a separate cinema room or a cinema in the living room?

A separate cinema room always gives a better effect. We can design ideal acoustic conditions and fully control how sound and image work.

It also gives you more opportunities:

A cinema in the living room is a good solution if you want to combine function and aesthetics in one space. A dedicated cinema room allows you to achieve maximum quality and comfort in your home cinema.

Can speakers be invisible?

Yes. In a well-designed home cinema, the sound system can be completely hidden.

The front speakers are mounted behind a screen made of sound-permeable material. The remaining elements of the system are placed inside acoustic walls, which are finished with sound-permeable fabric.

In practice this means that:

Thanks to this, the cinema room at home remains visually clean, and the entire audio system is fully integrated with the interior architecture.

Do in-wall speakers sound as good as classic loudspeakers?

In a well-designed home cinema, built-in speakers often provide a better effect than classic floor-standing speakers.

We install the front speakers in the so-called baffle wall, a specially designed wall that improves bass control and eliminates unfavorable reflections. This makes the sound more consistent and precise.

Acoustic walls also allow the use of more powerful systems - with more speakers and subwoofers - without affecting the aesthetics of the interior.

Additionally, we can plan the arrangement of all elements very carefully, which translates into better spatiality and a more realistic sound effect in the entire cinema hall.

Which is better: projector or TV?

There is no single answer - it all depends on how you want your home cinema to work.

Projector

Gives the most faithful cinematic effect. It allows you to obtain a very large image - 100-150 inches or more - which gives a real sense of scale and immersion that a TV cannot achieve.

It works best in a dedicated cinema room where we have control over the light. In such conditions, the image is characterized by good contrast. The home cinema projection system also allows you to install speakers behind a screen with a sound-permeable surface and achieve perfect synchronization of sound and image.

TV

A TV works better for everyday viewing. Higher brightness works well in daylight and does not require blackout. It also has an advantage in gaming - it offers lower latency and higher refresh rates. That's why we often choose it for:

What does it look like in practice?

We are increasingly using a mixed approach - a TV for everyday use and a projector for watching movies.

Do you work with an interior designer?

Yes - cooperation with an interior designer is a natural element of home cinema design.

A cinema room is often part of a larger house design, which is why we combine technical and acoustic issues with aesthetic assumptions. We make sure that everything forms a coherent whole - both in terms of operation and appearance.

Most often, we work with an architect who carries out the project for the investor. We coordinate solutions, provide guidelines and adapt the home cinema system to the interior concept.

If there is no architect on the client's side, we can take over this stage and prepare the design and implementation of the interior of the cinema hall ourselves.

Additionally, we use ready-made, proven layouts and visualizations of cinema rooms, which make it easier to make decisions and show the final effect.

At what stage of construction should the project begin?

You can start your home cinema project at various stages, but the sooner you start, the greater the possibilities.

The best moment is the home design stage. Then we can plan the appropriate shape of the room, its proportions and location in the building. This gives you the greatest control over the acoustics and the final effect.

Another good time to design a cinema is when the interior design is created and the layout of the rooms is already established. At this stage, we adapt the solutions to the existing space and coordinate the installations.

It is also possible to adapt a ready-made room. We then design a home cinema in an existing room, trying to adapt the solutions to its limitations.

In practice, a home cinema project can be done at any time, but an earlier start means better results and greater design freedom.

Can you control everything with one remote control?

Yes. In a well-designed home cinema, the whole thing can be operated with one remote control or application.

The control system connects all elements: image, cinema sound system, signal sources, as well as lighting and air conditioning. Thanks to this, you can, for example, start a show with one button - the light will dim, the screen will turn on and the audio system will start working.

We can design and build a control system as part of a home cinema project. It can also be part of a larger smart home system, if one is provided for in the project.

The result is convenient and intuitive control of the entire home cinema system without the need to use several remote controls.

Does the system work with streaming?

Yes. Each home cinema project includes a multimedia player that gives access to the most popular streaming platforms.

Most often, these are devices such as Apple TV or other modern players, thanks to which you can use services such as Netflix, HBO Max or Apple TV+ in the highest quality.

The system also works as a music source. You can play Spotify, Apple Music and other services, and the cinema room at home can also easily act as a space for listening to music.

In practice, you have one place to watch movies, series and listen to music - all integrated in one system.

Do you offer service and support after implementation?

Yes. After completion of the implementation, we provide support and care for the home cinema system.

Our team helps with ongoing maintenance, answers questions and, if necessary, performs service or system adjustments.

Thanks to this, you can be sure that your home cinema will operate stably and as intended even after the project is completed.

Do you calibrate the image and sound after installation?

Yes. Calibration is one of the key stages of home cinema implementation.

Sound

Each home cinema sound system is equipped with a sound processor that allows you to precisely tune the entire system to a specific room.

We use, among others: from systems such as Dirac Live, which correct the impact of the hall acoustics on the sound.

The tuning process is carried out using a measuring microphone and specialized software. Thanks to this, the sound is well balanced throughout the space.

Picture

After installation, we also calibrate the projector or TV. We set the colors, contrast and brightness so that the image is natural and consistent with how it was prepared by the filmmakers.
