Picture in home cinema – selecting a projector and screen
At the design stage, we determine key parameters - primarily the image size and brightness. We take into account the proportions of the room, the distance of the viewer from the screen and the technical standards used in cinemas. Thanks to this, we obtain comfortable viewing.
In most projects, we use a 4K projector, which allows us to achieve a cinematic effect. In smaller rooms, such as a compact cinema room or a games room, a TV with parameters matched to the room works better.
The result is a large, cinematic image that works well with the acoustics and sound system, creating a full premium home cinema experience.
Image system in the room design
We always start a home cinema project with space. We analyze the room - its proportions, height, volume, potential acoustic challenges, seating arrangement. These are the elements that have the greatest impact on the quality of sound and image.
We design the video system (projector or TV) in parallel with acoustics and sound. We size the image, brightness and device parameters to match seating layout and how the room will be used.
Already at the concept stage, the interior designer works together with the team responsible for acoustics and audio-video systems to make the cinema a natural part of the house.
4K projector or TV?
In dedicated cinema rooms, a 4K projector allows you to obtain an image with a scale and character similar to that of a commercial cinema. Screen size, viewer distance and room light control are key when selecting a device and projection screen.
In smaller or multifunctional spaces - a compact cinema room, a games room or a universal entertainment room - a TV with an appropriate diagonal and brightness may be a more practical solution while maintaining high image quality.
We do not use ready-made kits off the shelf. We select each video system individually, based on the analysis of the room and project assumptions.
Image calibration in a ready room
After completing the assembly, we calibrate the image in the finished interior. We set the parameters so that the image is natural and consistent with the source material - taking into account the actual lighting, color finish and viewing conditions in a given room.
Calibration is the stage that distinguishes a professionally made home cinema from a random set of equipment. Thanks to it, the image is repeatable, predictable and adapted to the entire audio-video system.
Image, acoustics and sound system
A large, cinematic image makes sense when it matches the sound quality. We design the room acoustics and Dolby Atmos surround sound system in parallel with the video system so that the entire viewing experience is consistent.
Image and sound parameters are optimized and adjusted to the viewer's distance from the screen. The audio system works in controlled acoustic conditions, thanks to which the entertainment is of the highest quality.
The complete experience premium home cinema
We are responsible for the entire process: from concept, through design and implementation, to final tuning of the audio-video system. The scope includes acoustic design, a video system based on a 4K projector or TV, Dolby Atmos surround sound system, proprietary speakers, cinema seats and interior finishing.
